Stratton Was found wandering the streets of Houston, TX when he was found in pretty bad shape. His hair was incredibly thin and sparse in areas. (his hair is already coming back and will be fully and fluffy again soon!) Our rescue found a foster for him right away so we could start getting him super healthy and happy again. He has now been in foster care for many weeks and we believe is ready to start searching for his forever home. Poor Stratton has been through so much, we just want him to find the loving, forever home he truly deserves. Here is what his foster has to say about him:
When Stratton first got to my house weeks ago he was terrified and it took him a while to come out of his shell. After a few days and some meds to make him feel better he changed into a completely different dog. Stratton now instigates play with all my dogs, loves to run around the house with his toys, and is the biggest love and snuggle bug. Stratton seems potty trained, and seems to have been someone's family member in the past. It's always so hard because we don't knot their past, but he is a great, easy, smart dog. He may need some patience with pottying outside since he will be adopted in CO, which is so much colder than TX.
Stratton sleeps in a dog bed in the fosters room, and sleeps through the whole night. Stratton also likes to hang out in his crate without being asked to go in it, so we believe he is crate trained and would do fine in a crate.
Stratton would do great in a home with kids and/or dogs. He would also be great for an older individual or couple who want a snuggle/walking buddy. Stratton is just so easy he would do well with any family as long as they are willing to give him some time to come out of his shell again in a completely new home.
