Onyx is a SUPER friendly shorthaired kitten with a jet black coat like a Bombay. She just turned 4 months old in November and now she is ready for a loving home. Her foster mom says "She is super sweet, loves to be held, a total lap kitten, litter box trained, great eater, purrs constantly, comes when called and is a real talker. She is the sweetest kitten. Not afraid of people at all and very approachable." Onyx's adopter will need to bring her in for spay surgery at our vet in San Jose post-adoption, so at this point in time we can only consider applicants who live within comfortable driving distance of San Jose. She is available for adoption alone, but if you're looking for a pair she would love to be adopted with one of her foster siblings, Rascal or Tobi.

Tailchaser Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill organization dedicated to rescuing cats and dogs from shelters where they are in danger. Our foster volunteers provide loving temporary homes for our rescued animals until they are adopted.

By adopting a cat or dog, you're making a commitment to provide love, care, and medical treatment for the life of the animal, which can be up to 20 years or more! We are committed to placing our rescued animals with families who are prepared for the responsibility of owning an animal for its entire lifetime, so that they are never again at the mercy of the shelter system.
Onyx Ryan, Domestic Short Hair has been shared from Shelter Exchange.

About Tailchaser Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Tailchaser Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill, animal rescue organization based out of the Bay Area, CA, dedicated to rescuing cats and dogs (and sometimes more) from shelters where they are in danger. We believe in removing barriers to adoption and educating pet owners and potential adopters about responsible pet ownership, the importance of spay / neuter, positive behavior training and good nutrition.

We are a foster-home-based organization and we do not have a shelter or physical location that adopters can visit. All of our rescued animals are cared for by volunteer foster families in their homes. This allows us to get to know the animals better, and helps us assess what type of home environment they will do best in.
