Owen's Story...
Her name is Owen, but her friends at the shelter know her as Little Miss Sunshine! Owen is one of those dogs that everyone loves- and with good reason! This girl is always happy, always wiggly and always up for a cuddle. When we walked down the hall to the photo room, Owen had to stop at each person we passed and say hello. Social butterfly anyone? ;-) Owen's mission in life is to meet as many people as possible and get as many pets as possible. So far, she's succeeding! If you're looking for a super friendly, outgoing dog you can take everywhere with you- come meet Owen!

Owen also does well with her kennel mate and would love to meet your dog from home. Bring them in and staff can help with a meet and greet.

You can meet 4 yr old Owen in C building at the West Valley Animal Care Center at 2500 S. 27th Ave., Phx. Hours are 11-6 Mon-Fri and 11-5 Sat & Sun. Owen's $20 adoption fee includes spay, rabies certificate and County license. Owen- A3848003

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Owen, a Phoenix American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
