* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted: www.facebook.com/DPSRescue

This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, December 3rd from 1-4pm and Sunday, December 4th from 12-3pm or until adopted. However, we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our dogs, we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed.

Zoe is a 4 year old purebred Standard Schnauzer who weighs 55lbs and is a chunk o'munk. She definitely should lose some weight, probably 10-15lbs. She loves to go on walks and is good on the leash so if her owner is committed to her losing weight it really won't be that difficult. She was purchased from a breeder. The family is now deciding to travel more and doesn't have the time for Zoe.

Zoe has been an indoor dog her whole life. She is housetrained per her former home. She has a non-shedding coat that is an option for those who have allergies. She will require regular grooming. She has been docked and cropped. We personally love the natural look. But she's a beautiful Schnauzer either way.

Zoe gets along well with other dogs. She lives with big and small dogs now and she gets along with everyone. She just comes into the home and gets along with everyone. She is not destructive. She is not high energy. She just needs regular exercise to get rid of the extra weight. She could easily be ok with walks every day.

Zoe is an option to go to a home that has had a dog in the last 3 years and if there are children they need to be over the age of 8.

**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)

**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
