Speedy (fast and fun!)'s Story...
Speedy earned his name early on. Even as a 10 day old kitten he was quick! So lively and adorable! He is fast and loves to chase toys. He is energetic, but has a super cuddly side too. He has a loud purr and is just a great little guy who will make an awesome pet. He comes from a litter of 7 pulled from BARC with his sweet momma cat. They were only about 10 days old when rescued so have had the opportunity to grow up in a safe, comfortable foster home where they got a lot of attention from their real kitty mom and their foster mom. If you are interested in Speedy, please contact the group.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Speedy (fast and fun!), a Houston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
