Herbie the Love Bug is the perfect name for this little guy. Just like in the movie, Herbie has done some remarkable things. This little Beagle mix pup is all about love once he gets over his initial hesitation in meeting you. Which is remarkable considering the life he and his brother probably went through before being found by a Critter Cavalry Rescue foster mom. The Beagle boys were found at a rural Tennessee dump site where you could tell they had been discarded and left to survive on their own. They were expected to find food and water for themselves. Well that’s no way to treat a pet. This boy is estimated to have been born around April 1, 2016, which makes him about 7 months old here at Thanksgiving time. Herbie weighs about 20 pounds and will grow to be about 25-30 lbs. tops as an adult. He is a playful and easy going boy with other dogs and cats. In his foster home, there are two young, active boys and he is fine with them as well. In the love department Herbie enjoys laying on your lap and receiving your undivided attention and pets on the head. He holds no resentment for the way he was discarded by people he trusted and is ready to put it all behind him. He is crate trained and learning all about house manners and housetrained. Herbie is walked on a leash almost daily for a short time to acclimate him to this as well. He is a fun Beagle mix boy and would love to have a home to continue to blossom into a fine family companion. Won’t you give him a true forever home?
