Wendy is a super-sweet Hound mix around 1 year old. She is a gentle dog with a beautiful temperament and she wants nothing more than your love. She has a smile that will melt your heart. She is dog friendly and may do best in a home with another dog as she is sad when left alone. Wendy was very underweight when she came to us and we can tell the beginning of her life was not good. She is healthy now and ready for the second chapter of her life. Wendy loves to be by her human's side and is sure to make a loving companion dog. She will do best with a home that has a fenced yard and space for her to explore. She has good manners when meeting new people and other dogs and she walks nicely on leash. Please consider adopting this young Hound girl. She is sure to bring you such happiness!
The Animal Orphanage of Voorhees is a loving place that welcomes 2,000 homeless pets each year. Our shelter is open intake, which means our doors are open to dogs and cats of any age, medical condition or breed. We are a no-kill facility and do not euthanize for space. We are a non-profit organization and depend on donations and volunteers to keep our shelter doors open.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Our orphanage is open to the public Monday-Friday from 12pm to 7pm, with the exception of the second Wednesday of each month during which we are closed for major cleaning. On weekends you can visit our orphans between 12pm and 5pm Saturday and Sunday. We also have some adorable adoptable cats and kittens at offsite locations: PetSmart in Marlton and PetValu stores of Cherry Hill, Marlton and Voorhees.
Our Adoption Process...
All potential adopters must be at least 21 years of age. An application must be completed and can take up to a week to process. Once an application is approved, family meets, dog meets (if applicable) and home checks must be completed.
