Raina is a 3-year-old English Mastiff who came to Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue from a shelter after someone had sprayed her in the face with a whole can of pepper spray. The shelter treated her for nearly two months with steroid drops, antibiotics, and pain meds, and, as a result, Raina can now see shadows. The shelter felt that Raina wasn’t adoptable, but luckily they contacted Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue. She is now safe in one of our foster homes and will soon see a specialist in the hope of restoring more of her vision. She is a kindhearted, gentle giant with the disposition of a cuddly lapdog. More information about Raina will be available after she settles into her foster home and gets additional medical help.
Due to Raina's size, we recommend that her new home not have small children or elderly persons that she may unintentionally topple.
The suggested donation amount for Raina is $350, which is TAX DEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals in the home, as well as the high cost of vetting our dogs in rescue. To fill out an application, please visit the following web address: http://www.muddypawssecondchancerescue.com/#!adopt-a-pet/c7cy The adoptions for all of our dogs will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person.
