Facts about Buddy

  • Breed: Chihuahua/Rat Terrier Mix
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
Buddy is one lucky boy, if you look at the world through rose colored glasses like he does. He was found after being hit by a car, with a rope around his neck. He had multiple fractures in his pelvic bone and surrounding bones. He had surgery to repair the breaks (and now is a bionic dog!). He's been on crate rest but is now finally cleared for a regular life. He is a happy go-lucky boy who would do really well in a house with kids to play with. He enjoys playing with toys and going for walks. He's great with other dogs, big and small. He's an all around great guy.

About K9 Kismet Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

K9 Kismet was founded to provide a resource for families of 4-legged (or 3-legged... we love our tripods) furries to be able to stay together in times of financial hardship by offering assistance with food, medical, and housing relocation services.

Our secondary mission is to rescue shelter animals and find them forever home.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our pets are residents of their foster family homes and are available for meet and greets by appointment. We are currently too small to hold adoption events, but may be invited to participate in events hosted by other rescues. Stay tuned to our website and Facebook page for event announcements.

Our Adoption Process...

All adopters must be willing to complete an adoption application and home check prior to placement of the animal. All members of the household are required to meet the pet prior to adoption. If other animals are in the home, a meet and greet among the animals is also required. We offer foster-to-adopt options if additional time is needed.

Adoption fees vary on animal and medical status, but in general are:

$200 - young and adult dogs*
$150 - seniors*
$150 - young and adult cats*
$100 - senior cats*

$300* for puppies or kittens who have not yet received all vaccinations prior to entering our rescue - getting them ready to enter mainstream society is expensive!

*Prices listed above are maximum prices. If our costs to care for the animal are less than the amounts listed above, K9 Kismet will offer a discount.

All animals are vaccinated, spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption.
