Tango is currently in a foster home and not at the shelter. Email jpasfosterEB@gmail.com to meet Tango
Tango was found a few months ago on the side of a road after being hit by a car. He was rushed to MSAH where it was determined he did not have any broken bones but did have deep open wounds on his front legs. His attending vet remarked what a wonderful dog he is, even during multiple wound cleanings. The JPAS staff and volunteers are in agreement: Tango is a very sweet dog.
His owner was eventually found but he never reclaimed Tango. Tango's former owner is young and low-income; Tango was supposed to be used for breeding but never taken to the vet, plus his ears were surgically altered using scissors. Despite his injuries, Tango is playful and dog friendly. His favorite toy at the shelter is a ball but he's on restricted exercise due to his injuries. He's unsure of cats, and we recommend a household without young children as he can be a little mouthy when he plays. Tango no longer requires daily cleaning and bandages, but easy walks are recommended for a full recovery from the car accident. Even though Tango never received veterinary care, his owner did raise a sweet and loyal dog. He's eager to please and wants to be your constant companion. After all he has been through, he just wants to give kisses and is full of love.
