Hello! My street name is Melvin but my foster family has named me Sunny. Sunny fits me perfectly because I'm a super happy dog. When my foster family saved me from the shelter I was considered blind but they took me to an eye specialist and all I had was scars on my eyes. The specialist gave us some meds and my scars have gone down on my eyes and I get around just fine. You would never know I had spots on my eyes. I think I would do well with a family who likes to jog and go on long walks/hikes. I'm crate trained but LOVE cuddling. I'm potty trained. I'm about a year old and do well with other dogs. Please contact my foster mom and she will tell you everything about me...I'm pretty darn cool.
I was scheduled to be euthanized, but San Antonio Pets Alive! saved me and now they are helping me find the forever, loving home that I have never known.
I am currently located at San Antonio Pets Alive!, and I am in a foster home. By adopting me, you not only give me a new leash on life; you also save the life of the additional dog who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in foster care.
If you are interested in adopting me, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with my name and ID#. Please allow us up to 24 hours to respond as all fosters work with us on a volunteer basis.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
