Facts about Austin

  • Breed: Rat Terrier Mix
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 216180
Austin has been around the block a few times. He spent his whole life with one family but they can no longer provide for him so he now is seeking his final forever home. But even though he is eleven years old he has plenty of life left in him. He is friendly and sweet and delightfully affectionate. He is content to remain settled by your side, so a nice daily walk is all he will need to keep him happy and fit.

Austin allows other dogs to approach but isn't interested in engaging with large and/or exuberant ones. With canines his own size he is quite friendly though not apt to play chase. People are really the objects of his affections. We can't say enough about how lovely Austin is to hang out with. On the down side, Austin is so committed to his people that he gets very lonely when he is left alone. This causes him to bark, which can cause problems. We suggest he live in a home where he has company most of the time or where he can go along when there are errands that need to be run.

If you need a loving companion to stay at home with, Austin is definitely your guy!
