Penelope's Story...
This precious girl has had a long journey and now we are looking for the last leg in her journey to a forever home. A friend of ours had gone to a trailer park to pick up two little Terrier puppies and called us to tell us that there was a mama dog with 6 puppies who had been abandoned in the park and it looked like she had a pretty serious leg injury. Of course we told our friend to bring her and the pups here to the rescue. Turns out one of her pups had to have a leg amputated as well. Penelope had been hit by a car and her injury was never tended to so we had no choice but to amputate As you can see by the video, she has adjusted just fine She wasn't using the bad leg anyway. Penelope is approximately 2 years young. She is spayed, micro-chipped, up to date on all of her vaccines and crate trained. She is so very ready for her forever home. Could that be you??

Her adoption fee is $500

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penelope, a Brattleboro Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cattle Dog for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cattle Dog breeders who help with Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
