Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I'm special!! Why? Because I am filled with joie de vivre and even though I'm only 6 months old, I appreciate what a gift a happy life can be...
I'm Esmerelda. I was born with a congenital condition called Cranio-Mandibular Osteopathy. Some dogs outgrow this condition and I intend to be one of them! Currently I am doing great on medication to alleviate any discomfort. I need a family willing to monitor me to ensure I continue to be happy and healthy! I am spunky and fun loving. A typical Westie, I would do best with a fenced-in yard to ensure I stay safe and don't wander off sniffing out the squirrel who dared to invade our yard or tracking down that oh-so-mesmerizing smell! I know "my" people are out there. I hope to go to my forever family soon! So please find me!
Esmerelda is fully vetted, including micro chip, which is registered to her new family when finalizing her adoption. We do recommend obedience training for all of our foster dogs. We are a small, all-volunteer group, so we typically limit our adoptions to Nebraska and its bordering states. Adopters must agree to come to Omaha to pick up their new family member.
Esmerelda's suggested adoption fee is $350 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.We do not transport or fly our rescue dogs. A securely fenced yard is necessary to adopt one of our terriers. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment for terriers. If you want a loving, playful girl to join the family, please submit an application through our web site, www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com
