Charles's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Charles's Story...
Charles is a very gentle, sensitive and sweet, 12-year-old, 40-pound, male, tri-color Beagle looking for a loving guardian.

Charles is all Beagle, so he barks when he’s left alone. When neighbors complained, he was kicked out of his human’s condo. He is great with other dogs and cats and tends to bark less when other animals and people are around.

Charles will do just about anything for food and takes treats very gently from your fingers. He also loves people and bonds strongly and quickly. He is perfectly housebroken, enjoys short walks and loves car rides. No crate needed; he is not at all destructive.

Charles’ adoption fee of $75 benefits rescued pets. He is a healthy senior, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested. He is currently living in Chicago, Illinois. He does have a fatty tumor on his side and some arthritis but he gets around well and can do stairs just fine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charles, a Chicago Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
