With sadness we have to adopt out our Teeka. She is a long hair Chihuahua mix. We moved this past summer from NJ to PA and we don't have the resources and time anymore to give her the attention she needs. She is 18 months old, spayed, up to date on shots and rabies. She has lived with children... But is not a fan of other people's kids. Her best friend is a cat (look at her photos - adorable!) and she does well with other small dogs. My mother has a toy poodle and they play well together.
Teeka is housebroken, but has accidents occasionally. Currently she is used to an extended lead in the backyard and comes back when done. She cuddles, kisses and loves playing with toys. She does get protective of one person. So if she is sleeping with my daughter in bed... That's it!
I commute and work long hours, and the kids are in daycare and Teeka is spending her days in a crate. She's a chewer and I can't have her run free. She is protective of her house and needs to be around more people. She has become too much for me to handle. Someone with other Chihuahuas or small dogs who understands their temperament would be ideal. As a young dog I know she has the potential with the patience and training of someone more qualified.
