Adeline's Story...
Addy was found about a year ago abandoned at a Casino. She was very shy and reluctant to come to the foster mom but she finally gained her trust and brought her home. Weighing only 70 pounds and flea and worm infested, the foster mom took great care of her and she slowly blossomed into the 120 pound beauty she is today. She is great with children, just wants the cat to play with her and is good with the male dogs in the home most of the time. Sometimes they squabble over attention so she might like to be the only dog in the home and just get trips to the dog park and play dates with other dogs and not have to share her family 24/7 with another dog. If the male was laid back and goofy she should be okay with them though. She is happy and wants to be in the house with her people as the pictures show, but she loves to play in the backyard with her doggy friends. She is very playful and has lots of energy.  Addy is great on walks with a leash and when she is outside in the front yard, she will stay close and come when her name is called.

She is a great dog but the foster mom thinks she a home where she gets more time with her people. She is not at our shelter so you MUST email info@petsandpeople.com to set up a meet and greet.

Adoption fee for all dogs and puppies is $120.00 each, which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations (including all puppy boosters for puppies under 4 months), worming, flea/tick treatment if needed, and collar/leash/tags.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Adeline, a Yukon Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Yukon, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Yukon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Yukon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Yukon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Yukon paves the way for another one to be saved.
