Gunner's Story...
Meet Gunner! He is a 5 month old black and white, happy, playful Labrador Retriever cross who weighs 25 lbs. Gunner is very smart and already knows how to walk on a leash, sit and down. Gunner loves to play with other dogs, toys and people. This pup is growing quickly and still trying to figure out balance and coordination. His foster parents love to watch him lumber along when he runs and sometimes tumbles but gets right back up again. He is doing great with his house training, knows how to use the doggie door and sleeps through the night.

Gunner is started in puppy school. His adopter will need to agree to continue this training to ensure he receives the right foundation and continues to mature into a ‘good citizen’ as an adult.

He is neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date on all shots and started in basic obedience training. For more information go to www.3rrescue.org, email 3rrescue@gmail.com or phone 707-529-4643.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gunner, a Winters Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Winters, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Winters.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winters already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winters breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winters paves the way for another one to be saved.
