Facts about CHEVY

  • Breed: Feist Mix
  • Color: Tricolor (Tan/Brown & Black & White)
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
CHEVY is a 30 lb Mountain Feist mix. His approximate D.O.B. is 5/16/14. He was pulled from Pender shelter by CCR because he was in need of urgent care for a broken pelvis due to being hit by a car. We took him to the vet, had x-rays done and it was determined that, although his pelvis was broken in three places, all the bones were in good alignment and Chevy just needed to be kept calm and crated until his pelvis healed. Chevy also turned out to be heartworm positive so we had to wait until his pelvis fractures healed until he could be treated for heartworms. He has managed to come through all of that and still be a happy, playful guy. Chevy has been neutered, is up to date on shots, is microchipped, has been wormed, has completed his heartworm treatments and is on monthly heartworm prevention. Chevy is a great dog. He is sweet, he loves all people and most all dogs and even does ok with cats as long as they don't run from him. He has completely healed from his injuries and heartworm treatments and is more than ready to go for walks and have some playtime with other dogs. Chevy is house trained and crate trained, does not bark very much and he is a smaller size so he would be great for an apartment or condo.

About Coastal Canine Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small group of people that work full time at "normal" jobs, but we also feel in our hearts that we want to make a difference. Each of us have multiple pets and we just want to share our love with the pets that other people discard for one reason or another. We want to show that abandoned, lost or hurt dog that there is still love in the world and we can find it for them.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do most of our adoptions on line, but do attend Petsmart on Saturdays. Not all of our pets are ready to come to Petsmart so even if our pets are not there, we will be there to take applications or to show you our book of pets that are available.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process is similar to other Rescue groups. You will need to fill out an adoption application, provide a vet reference and tell us a little about yourself and why you want to adopt a rescue dog. Our adoption fees are $200 which includes all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm testing/heartworm free, wormings and spay or neutering of the dog. Senior dog adoption fees may be waived depending on the age and health of the dog.
