Nora's Story...
Welcome Nora to Augusta dog Adoptions! Nora is an 11 week old Chihuahua/Pug mix puppy that came to us from a home that had too many dogs to care for. Nora is TINY, and is estimated to weigh only 8 pounds when she is mature. Nora needs a bit of training -- she sleeps in a crate, and likes to chase the kitties in her foster home. Nora will need to be adopted to a home with another dog as she needs to be snuggled up with another pet to make her feel secure and happy. Nora will need someone willing to work on housetraining. Nora's bladder is SO TINY that she has some difficulty holding her pee pee. This may be an issue she will grow out of, but maybe not. Sadly, poor breeding could have been the cause. But Nora is DARLING!

$200.00 adoption donation helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough) , microchipped and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites if needed. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as surgeries and dentals. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nora, a Staunton Chihuahua/Pug puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Pug for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Chihuahua/Pug puppy from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Pug breeders who help with Chihuahua/Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
