Claudia's Story...

Adorable CLAUDIA is a young female calico who is very affectionate and loves to be petted. Abandoned outside with several other cats by her owner, she hid from the animal control truck and struggled to survive. CLAUDIA is now spayed, tested and has her vaccines. She co-exists with other cats and loves to get attention and be able to sleep near her person. CLAUDIA would make a wonderful pet for anyone from a child to a senior who is willing to give her the loving home she deserves. Could YOU be her "person"? More and colder nights are on the way and it's such a peaceful experience to feel a purring kitty snuggled up against you; you and CLAUDIA could dream together of those visions of sugarplums dancing in your heads!

This kitty is a Courtesy Post; she is NOT located at the Sanctuary. Please contact Foster Mom MARYANN at 412-537-5556 to meet this sweet baby!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Claudia, a Delmont Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Delmont, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Delmont.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Delmont already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Delmont breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Delmont paves the way for another one to be saved.
