Hi! My name is Sonic, though many call me Super Sonic because I amaze everyone who meets me! I was rescued from the Louisiana floods in October of 2016 where I was found in sad conditions, but now I am in much better shape and ready to go home!  The folks at the shelter think I'm about ten years old, but because I came from a hard life, it's hard to tell. I could be a little older or a little younger. I am a fun, active guy who loves to play fetch and enjoys spending time with the people I befriend.  I am very sweet-natured, loving to cuddle on the couch with my humans.  I get along great with other dogs, but I like to chase cats, so no cats in my new home.  I am crate-trained, too.

Brother Wolf is so committed to finding me a home that they've made me a Life-Long Friend! This means that my adoption fee is waived, and BWAR will provide vet care through one of their partner vets, as well as food, boarding and behavior support.  For life!  I am currently living in a fantastic foster home.  Contact my foster mom to learn more about me.  You won't regret it!

All Brother Wolf animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate).
Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.

Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

About Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is known for their excellence in matching people with the best dog or cat that would suit their lifestyle. Today we are proud to have the largest NO-KILL shelter in Asheville. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue was established in 2006. We started off as a very small group of people, taking dogs and cats from gassing shelters in GA. We found wonderful homes for these animals but realized while we were saving these particular animals, we had a much bigger problem in our community that we needed to face. Perfectly healthy, highly adoptable animals in our community are being euthanized every day. Rescued pets are not broken or damaged goods. They are wonderful animals who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our facility is located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, off Swannanoa River Rd, 1/2 mile from Lowe's. Open every day.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions will require a contract and discussions with one of our adoption counselors. Based on the needs of the particular animal, we reserve the right to require a home visit at the discretion of the adoption counselor. All our animals will be altered before adoption and up-to-date on standard vaccinations. We do collect an adoption fee.
