Retriever (Unknown Type) Mix Dog for adoption in Denver, Colorado - Riley

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Riley's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with cats.

Riley's Story...
Riley is a 3 year old male mix.

He has just arrived and is being assessed.

He is good with cats.

Riley has tested positive for Heartworm and will be assessed and treated after he arrives. He'll need to be on a no activity regimen for 30 days from treatment while he recovers and on a low activity regimen for 6 months. Both his treatment and blood test after 6 months are paid for by GRFR at one of our contracted vets. Riley's forever family will need to be sure he takes a monthly heartworm preventative year round. Some people might be leery of a dog like Riley, who has had heartworm, but there is no need to be. It is both curable and preventable.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riley, a Denver Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Denver, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
