Facts about Turbo

  • Breed: Australian Shepherd
  • Color: Merle
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Unknown
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 10825147

Turbo 7 year old Australian Shepherd.  There are some dog breeds that can be more challenging for families, and Herding Class dogs fit this description. Australian Shepherds are very intelligent, vigilant, territorial, active and can be prone to 'herding' people (children especially), dogs or cats. Turbo is no exception and displays all the characteristics of his breed. He was raised for 6 years in a family environment and did quite well with his owners and their toddler, but he began to become anxious when strangers came to the door and was nervous when a 9 year old boy moved in with the family. This is why he was surrendered to our Rescue. Turbo has been through training and rehab and is a much calmer, obedient and balanced dog, but he would be much happier without children and needs an experienced owner so that he doesn't drift back into his old ways

About Affinity Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

We have been involved with foster care for 4 years and will still be volunteering with Madison Mutts as much as possible - We are a group of foster homes that will work with rescued dogs to make sure they are ready to find their new forever homes. Training and medical care will be provided for all our dogs. Our goal is to get local youth organizations involved with caring for the dogs (foster children, 4h groups etc). Our ultimate goal is to have a large property with a training center.

Our Adoption Process...

Applicants must complete an applicaton and must be approved prior to making an appointment to meet the dog - All family members and their dogs must meet before adoption is completed. At the time of adoption a contract will be completed that will have that states that the dog must be returned to Affinity Rescue if the adopter can no longer keep the dog.
