Beta's Story...
Beta is a beautiful young DLH and Maine Coon mix who is looking for a loving home where she can take her time getting to know you. Beta wandered into a local neighborhood and caught the eye of someone who noticed she was injured. Beta had been attacked by something and had multiple wounds across her neck and back. She spent a few weeks at the vet for wound treatments and medications and is now on the mend and healing nicely. Given Beta’s history, she’s a bit uncertain of humans at first but shows her trust and friendly personality once she settles in and knows she’s safe. She’s enjoying the fluffy bed and buffet in her foster home while she continues to heal and waits for the family that chooses her. Beta would do best in a home without dogs or small children due to her past trauma. She needs a quiet place without too much commotion.

This kitty has had her initial vaccinations, de-worming, flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and been micro-chipped and altered (or will be micro-chipped and altered prior to adoption).

Adoption fee is 1/2 off for the second kitty adopted at same time. Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax).

If you are interested in adopting a kitty(s), we ask that you complete an on-line adoption application to get the process started. To apply, simply go to www.furryfriendsnetwork.com / ADOPT tab / CAT Adoption Application. You will receive a welcome email once your application has been assigned to a volunteer processor (this should be within 72 hours of submitting an application). If you do not receive such an email, contact ffncatapps@gmail.com. Once your application has been processed (this can take approx. 10-14 days), we will arrange contact with the foster to schedule a time to meet kitties you might be interested in. We are an all volunteer organization and appreciate your patience during this process.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beta, a Carlisle Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Carlisle, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Carlisle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carlisle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carlisle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carlisle paves the way for another one to be saved.
