We are not too sure what she is mixed with, but we are thinking maybe some other kind of Shepherd or a Chow Chow, because her brother is incredibly fluffy.
Tassie was brought to a shelter with her 4 brothers and sisters. They were all in pretty good health, but the woman who brought them in still asked for them to be euthanized because they were an "accidental litter" and she did not want the responsibility of taking care of them. Our rescue couldn't let these sweet babies lose their lives at such a young age so we took them into our rescue. They were only 9 weeks old when they were dropped off, but now they are 11 weeks old and ready to find their forever homes.
Tassie is sweet and snuggly, but also playful. She does have some puppy energy at times and loves to rough house with her siblings and the fosters bigger dog. She is also good at relaxing. Tassie is the shyest of the bunch and really counts on her brothers/sisters to show her the ropes. She loves to snuggle with her brother and love on him with licks and kisses. With the right socialization she will be the most perfect, loving, affectionate dog. Once it's nap time Tassie loves nothing more than to snuggle up close with her siblings in their bed, or with her foster mom on the couch. The foster mom says she is the cutest little thing with her fluffy little butt and happy personality. She will always bring a smile to your face. Tassie will be such a great size for a hiking companion in the beautiful CO mountains. We do believe that Tassie would be great for most types of families. She would do great with another dog to show her the way or with gentle, loving kids. She would also be great for an active individual or couple who want a hiking/running/walking dog.
