Honey's Story...
Honey - 2yr female Chihuahua Mix - www.twyla.org

Honey is a 2 year old Chihuahua who had puppies early this Summer. Buttercup is one of her pups, and she is also for adoption. Honey is very protective of Buttercup as you may well expect but she is also one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. She is skittish upon meeting new people but should do okay with children so long as they are extra gentle with her. The perfect home for her would be a couple or a single person that wants to cuddle with her. She walks well on a leash but if given a yard she would love to just run and run. Honey is crate trained and completely house broken. If you are looking for a sweet quiet dog then Honey is your girl.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Honey, a Kingwood Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Kingwood, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Kingwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kingwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kingwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kingwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
