Leif's Story...
**We strongly prefer Leif goes to a home with previous rabbit experience**Leif is absolutely the sweetest bunny ever! He is around 4 years old and was owner surrendered to one of our shelters. We are pretty certain he has megacolon which is an abnormality of the cecum. It is a very manageable condition. You can read more about it here

Megacolon aside, this bunny is simply perfect. He loves, LOVES attention. He has perfect litter habits and a great appetite. He is such a gentle boy and like all the rest of our bunnies, so very deserving of a loving, forever home. He would love to share life with another bunny friend, so if you are looking for a mate for your female bunny, Leif would be a great fit!

**If you are new to house rabbits, please do your research before adding a bunny to your home. They are phenomenal companions but you must understand rabbit behavior and the level of care they require!**

We adopt out to indoor homes only! If you are under the age of 18 we will need a parent or legal guardian to contact us. Our adoption fee is $85 for a single bunny and $140 for a bonded pair. For more information or if you are interested in adopting please send us an email at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leif, a Watauga Mini Rex was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mini Rex for sale in Watauga, or seeking a Mini Rex from a breeder in Watauga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Watauga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Watauga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mini Rex breeders who help with Mini Rex rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Watauga paves the way for another one to be saved.
