My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, Bootsie here! I’m about 3.5 years old and 11 pounds and lots of fluffy, soft fur. I am super sweet and if I had my choice I would want to be held or cuddled all the time. I love my person! I use my big, round eyes to look up at you and you can’t resist and up I go into your arms for some cuddles. Just what I was after. I would be fine as an only dog or with other dogs. I’m crate trained and if you tell me to ‘load up’ I head to my crate expecting a treat. I lay down and get comfortable as I’m used to sleeping in my crate and it is my safe spot.

I have some special needs as I had back surgery. When the rescue first got me, I couldn’t walk and they weren’t sure if I would walk again. Well I do walk and run! My walk and run is a little stiff but I get around just fine. Due to my back surgery, I shouldn’t jump on furniture or go up or down stairs.

I’m working on my housetraining as my foster mom isn’t sure if I’m just being stubborn or if some of it is because of my back injury. I will go outside and do my business but sometimes I don’t make it outside. You might want me to wear a belly band inside just to be sure until I can show you I am trained.
