Jett's Story...
Hey folks! My name is Jett :) My brother and I were found outside of a really nice lady's house after a huge storm. Everything was flooded and it was so wet and cold and scary. I'm not sure how we made it out of all the water onto the back patio, but thank goodness we did!! She gave us some nom noms and called into St. Francis to see if they could take us in. Thankfully for us my foster mommy had just enough room. And let me tell you, being inside is SOOOO much better than outside in the cold. My brother Ryder is my best bud. We play, snuggle, wrestle, and explore all day long. Foster mama also has 2 tiny hoomans and they're our favorite. We love to sleep with them and play fetch with them too. Foster mommy keeps talking about this place called a furrrever home, and that there is some special person or people out there that are just waiting to bring us home. We can't wait and we'd loooove to be adopted together :) :) :)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jett, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
