McDuff is a male Shih Tzu approximately 3 years old. He is a gorgeous dog with a soft tricolor coat of light gray, beige and white. McDuff has been professionally groomed and is non-shedding. He is a great, manageable yet sturdy size of 14 pounds full grown. McDuff is a delightful people dog who enjoys puttering around the house or joining you for errands or maybe trips to get the kids from school. McDuff is excellent with children and people of all ages and loves attention. He is interactive and attentive and will sit for a treat. McDuff is warm and cuddly, enjoying snuggle time as well as leisurely walks around the neighborhood. He is a good boy when meeting strangers or other dogs during his outings and you can count on him to mind his manners. McDuff rides quietly in the car and is in general a very easy keeper. He is quiet and not a barker or whiner. Although he loves to keep you company, McDuff won't panic if you need to go somewhere on your own. He will most likely settle down in a dog bed or warm blanket and await your return. McDuff is good with other dogs but does not need another dog in the household to feel secure, and would probably thrive as an only dog getting all the attention and pampering to himself. McDuff was rescued from a very high-volume/high-kill shelter where he was brought in stray. He is a classy gentleman and will make a wonderful pet and companion. McDuff has been vet checked, is healthy and ready for his new forever loving home and family today!

McDuff’s adoption donation is $450 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

McDuff is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Mary B. and is ready for his forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MCDUFF, a Newport Beach Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
