Kelly is a male Shih Tzu/Maltese only 1 year old. He is snow white in color with a super soft, non-shedding coat. Kelly has been professionally groomed and currently has a shorter haircut. His coat will grow out long if allowed. Kelly weighs 12 pounds full grown and is a lovely, easy keeper. He is great with kids, gentle and sweet. Ideally, children should be gentle and calm with him as well since that seems to compliment his personality. Kelly is a nice combination of warm indoor snuggler and outside playmate or walking companion. He has an even temperament and a rather mellow personality for a dog so young. Kelly thrives on the security of his home and loves being pampered. He will most likely bond closely with his owners and be a devoted, predictable companion. Kelly is good with other dogs and seems to prefer more mellow, laid back canine companions. He is not really a rough and tumble fellow. Kelly is housetrained and walks beautifully on leash and rides well in the car. He is a darling dog just starting out in life and would love to have a stable home to call his own. Kelly was rescued from a very high-volume/high-kill shelter where he was brought in stray and neglected. He deserves so much better and is going to make a wonderful pet. Kelly has been vet checked and is very healthy. He is ready for his new forever family today!

Kelly’s adoption donation is $450 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

Kelly is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteers, Sunghye and Joe and is ready for his forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

KELLY, a Newport Beach Shih Tzu/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Maltese for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Maltese dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Maltese breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
