Mandy is a special girl. She is currently undergoing training. Once she builds a bond she is very loyal, officer Lenderman has been working with her and Mandy has been making a lot of positive changes. Mandy gets to know you she demands attention. Baby talking seems to make Mandy nervous so please just talk regularly to her so she does not think there is anything to be scared of. She is 2 years old and available for adoption. We do not recommend her to go into a home with children at this time. She is great on leash and knows several basic obedience commands such as: sit, come, heel, stay, shake, and down. Mandy was originally owned by a family in Santa Fe, she was surrendered to our shelter after a citizen noticed that Mandy was hanging on the side of a truck. She was tied up and was able to jump over the edge. The citizen stayed by the truck until an owner came outside. The person that came outside gave the citizen the dog as they no longer wanted her and the citizen felt that being here was better than being with someone that didn't want her. She has been learning a lot and does well with some dogs. She would do best with non-dominant or non-pushy dogs.
