Boy, was I in trouble! Something happened to really hurt my tail. When I was taken to the shelter, it just hung lifeless. It had been badly broken at the base. Because of the nerve damage, it was never going to wave proudly again, and had to be amputated. It was really a beautiful tail, too! I have lovely thick medium length fur, and what a plume it was. But that’s all in the past. I am really very polite and loving, despite grieving my tail. I barely flinched when they drew blood, and didn’t even blink for my vaccination. I had lived outside for at least a while, as my toes are street-hardened, and my thick ruff was sorely in need of a brush-out. Now, as I have recuperated from the surgery, I am ready to find my new home. I can see it now – loving arms holding me, safe and warm, and NEVER having to brave the hard streets and perils of outdoors again. A handsome young cat, I am intelligent and patient, and they are very nice to me at PZF. Take your time; I can wait for my perfect home. If you wait too long, though, you may not find me still here.
