Petey's Story...
My name is Petey, and today was full of first for me. Today was my first hug from a human. Today was my first kiss from one too. Today was the first time I felt like people were nice and could love me again. Today I got my first toy. Today I met a friend from home. Today I decided that even though I miss my dad that I'd really like a new home. Today I decided I want a family of my own….
A few weeks ago my world was turned upside down. My daddy got sick. He left home and never came back. Instead strangers came to our home. They looked very sad, and said they didn't know it had gotten this bad and that we didn't deserve to live like this. They loaded us up and took us to a place called a shelter. I was a little worried at first, but the people here were really nice like dad. They fed us, and even let me visit my friends from home. After a day of first I don't want Monday to be my last day. Please share my story, and share my friends from home. We all miss our dad, but we still want a home. Please email friendsofleecounty@gmail.com if you can help me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Petey, a Bishopville American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Bishopville, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Bishopville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bishopville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bishopville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bishopville paves the way for another one to be saved.
