Braxton is a super friendly 5 year old Doberman Pinscher/Australian Shepherd mix. When he first arrived he was found to be heartworm positive. Braxton was adopted and brought back to Friendship to receive his heartworm treatment. His treatment was successful and is now healthy. His adoptive family said he was the perfect gentleman while in their home except for 2 incidents that happened causing them to return him. He became possessive over a bone they had given him, one time. The other incident was when he growled at a young girl laying beside him after his heartworm treatment. Heartworm treatment can be very hard on a dog and he probably wasn't feeling well at the time. Braxton enjoys going for walks and is great on a leash. He is dog friendly but does NOT like cats. In the past he lived with kids 10 years of age and older and was fine with them. Braxton would love to find his forever home soon. Stop by for a visit.
If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.
All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
