Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Shanty's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Shanty's Story...

Shanty was a semi feral kitten that was trapped outside and fully vetted. She was too young and the area where she was found was too dangerous to re-release her so she has been living in a home with social cats that can help her come out of her shell. She's been doing great so far and is very food motivated! She loves treats and sardines. Shanty is also very playful and self entertaining with toys. She is great at finding little hiding spots and good with dogs and cats. She also does like to get pet from people she knows and people that give her lots of treats. She loves a good booty scratching. Shanty does have a sister that she loves to spend her time with and although they don't have to be adopted together, they would both benefit from living with other social cats or dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shanty, a Island Lake Domestic Mediumhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Island Lake, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair kitten from a breeder in Island Lake.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Island Lake already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Island Lake breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Island Lake paves the way for another one to be saved.
