Meow! Hello, my name is Spot, and I'm a handsome and sweet boy. I get my name from the black patch on my ear. I was rescued along with my mommy and her two litters of kittens from a home where my owners were being evicted. We were all so thankful when this amazing lady and her two children saved us from being sent to a shelter.

I am a little shy when I first meet new people, but I warm up after getting to know them. I have an easy-going personality and get along well with kids and other cats. Some of my favorite things to do are to play with rolly balls and feather wands and cuddle with my foster family. My brother Oreo and I have a close bond and would love to be adopted together.

Although I enjoy being with my foster family, I am now ready for my forever home. My ultimate wish is to be adopted by a loving family who has the time play with me and give me lots of attention and love. And maybe adopt and love Oreo too! If I sound like a kitty that you would like to meet, please complete an on-line application and one of AAT’s kind volunteers will be in touch. Thank you!

About Animal Allies of Texas

About Our Rescue Group...

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org for specific locations and times.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters must submit an application, either online via our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org or a paper application at an adoption event. General requirements for adoption: You must live in the DFW/Ft. Worth/North Texas area - we do not adopt outside this area. Dogs must be primarily inside, and cats must be totally inside. Cats must not be declawed. All pets must be spayed/neutered if this has not been done prior to adoption. Adopter must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adopter MUST agree to return pet to AAT if he/she can no longer keep the pet or if AAT deems it to be in the best interest of the pet. An adoption agreement detailing these and other requirements must be signed to finalize adoption. Current fees are: puppies (under 6 months)-$200, dogs-$175; kittens (under 6 months)-$125, cats-$110. This covers all vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchipping.
