Emma's Story...
Approx. birthdate: February 15, 2015. Meet Emma! Emma was rescued after she was found at the local hardware and lumber yard store in Salinas, Puerto Rico. She was found with 6 newborn puppies and her 6 month old puppy from her last litter. Emma is fully grown and weighs about 20 lbs. She looks like she has some Chihuahua and some Terrier in her. She has lived a very rough life on the streets and all of her puppies already flew to Michigan and found their forever homes, and she is now ready to find hers. Emma did have heartworm and was treated for it, and she is now a healthy dog again. She would do best in a home with another dog, as she depends on them for comfort. Emma is shy at first, but does not take to long to trust you and can become quite the cuddle bug.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emma, a Sterling Heights Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Sterling Heights, or seeking a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Sterling Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sterling Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sterling Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sterling Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
