Carter's Story...
Carter is a 5 year old male who is super sweet & very laid back. All of our volunteers who have handled him love him! His owners dumped he & his sister in a shelter to die. His sister was quickly adopted, leaving Carter behind. Sadly, he was in the shelter for over a month before we were able to take him to safety. He is a great boy & is ready now for adoption. He is potty trained & trustworthy left loose in the house. He enjoys walks and car rides and hanging close to his people. He has met several others dogs on walks and done well. (He is currently the only dog in his foster home.) This boy would be such a great companion to anyone looking for a great guy to pal around with. Email us for an application at LoneStarDobermanRescue@gmail.com To adopt, you must be either within Texas, or if not, you must be within 4 hours of DFW. You can also see all our available dogs on our website at LoneStarDobermans.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carter, a Fort Worth Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Fort Worth, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Fort Worth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fort Worth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fort Worth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fort Worth paves the way for another one to be saved.
