Sugar Pie is 4 years young and weight 20 lbs.  She came from Louisiana where she was owned by a senior man that passed away.  She really misses her owner but is ready for a new life up North. Sugar is very friendly and would make an excellent companion for a retired person or a family with or without kids.  Although she gets along with other dogs she seems to prefer being an only dog as that is the life she had prior to coming to rescue.  If you would like to adopt Sugar Pie please contact Peggy Stern at 908-246-6451or pmpstern@yahoo.com

About Leader of the Rescue Pack

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of women determined to help as many dogs as we can. We find them on the road, lonely and scared and lost, or we help save them from euthanasia at the shelters. Sometimes we also receive owner surrenders, who for what ever reason, can no longer care for their pet. They might of had to move away, or can't afford the pet or lost their homes, etc, but through no fault of the dog. The pet deserves to have a second chance in life, and we help to make that happen!!

Our Adoption Process...

If you are serious about adopting one of our pets listed, please call or email us for more information. We'll get back to you as soon as possible. We will set up a phone interview with you to see if it will be a good match for the dog/puppy and you. Then we will ask for a vet reference, and also if you rent your home or apt, we will need proof from your landlord that you are indeed allowed a dog/puppy. Then we have a contract for you to sign and get back to us, then depending on the location of the dog/puppy, we will then arrange transport.
