Micah's Story...
Meet Micah, a 3-year-old active, adventurous, affectionate, talkative and silly little boy! He currently resides at a veterinarian's office in Corte Madera because his family had to give him up, and he spends most of his days lounging about in random unused boxes, wandering around rubbing up on people's legs to see who will lean down and pet him, and playing with his fake mice or any other toy-like object he can get his paws on! He also loves to drink water from the faucet, loves being brushed, and will literally try and fit into any small compact space--even if it is on your work desk above your computer!

The team at that office love him so much, but when there are patients or the staff is not there, he lives in a cage and he deserves space and a loving forever home.

Everyone who meets this special boy treasures him and wants what is best for him. To meet him, call Debbie, Jake's Place Adoption Manager at 415-548-0824 or visit http://www.jakesplacecatrescue.org

Micah is considered a Courtesy Listing. We offer our services to help other responsible rescue groups or individuals find good homes for cats in need. We have screened and interviewed each of the individuals before agreeing to post their cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Micah, a Novato Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Novato, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Novato.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Novato already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Novato breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Novato paves the way for another one to be saved.
