Gallagher is a super intelligent fun dog.  He has a zest for life and is strong willed.  He needs an experienced dog owner.  Gallagher is a mix of Wheaten Terrier and Border Collie.  He has herding dog instincts and tends to engage with people using his mouth to lead you around.  He does great and plays well with other dogs and loves to be with his human handlers.  Gallagher is also great around all farm animals including horses, cows, chickens, goats & ducks; cats are his friends.  He is eager to please and is trainable, however, due to his mouthiness he will not be adopted to a family with young children.  He’s quick to learn new tricks and is well socialized. Gallagher will be bond strongly with his family and be very loyal and attentive.  He is three years old and weighs 46 pounds.

Gallagher is being fostered in the Smoky Mountains, Tennessee and will be transported when adopted.  Please visit OUR website at www.LoveHandlers.org where you can complete an online application by clicking on the 'Adoption' link at the top of the screen.  This dog is UpToDate on shots and is HW neg.

Thank you for your interest in a dog adoption from LoveHandlers Animal Sanctuary.  LoveHandler dogs are healthy (unless a disability is noted) and have been spayed/neutered, up-to-date on shots and heartworm negative. They are being fostered in the Great Smoky Mountains, Tennessee and will be transported when adopted. They will be bathed and nails clipped, with flea guard and a new collar with tag. Please note that LoveHandlers.org must be very thorough in finding out all it can about an adoptive situation before releasing a dog to someone's care. It is important for LoveHandlers.org to check veterinarian references. To begin the process of adopting a pet from LoveHandlers an Adoption Application Contract Package must be completed.  Please contact us at LoveHandlers@live.com.  The completion and return of the application does not guarantee adoption; you will be contacted for a phone interview should the adoption proceed.

About LoveHandlers Animal Sanctuary

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a no-kill animal sanctuary. We pull adoptable dogs from area high-kill shelters, vet them, nurture them and find them loving , forever homes.

Our facility also doubles as a sanctuary for blind and disabled animals. Many of our residents have been given up to kill shelters only because they are "old" or blind. Our mission is to provide these special deserving souls with a loving second chance at a joyful, quality life. We rescue, shelter and rehabilitate and find human companions in good homes when possible. Otherwise the animals are cared for in a loving, secure and comfortable environment for the duration of their natural lives. LoveHandlers.org is a no kill sanctuary operated by donations.

Our Adoption Process...

Those wishing to adopt must complete an adoption application which will be sent to you via email. Our staff will check vet references, or personal references (if requested by LoveHandlers). An adoption fee will apply. Transport fees, if applicable, will be paid by the adopter and paid to the transport company at time of delivery.
