Facts about Tyke

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black & White Or Tuxedo
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 10827434-Tyke
  • Hair: Short
Born 7/21/14

Tyke came to AC PAW in early 2016, a two-year old stray living outdoors. A kind young woman had been feeding him, but when she had to move, she called us for help. Tyke lives in a foster home now, where he gets along with other cats and is happy living indoors.  At first he was very timid and easily spooked, and he hid in a box most of the day, but he has come a long way since then. As he gets more comfortable, he is slowly becoming a friendly, talkative, playful cat who spends more and more time with his people and loves to be petted.  His foster mom can pick him up and hold him as he leans against her and enjoys having his head scratched. He’s a very handsome guy too.

A food allergy requires Tyke to eat prescription non-allergenic canned and dry food and to occasionally take steroid pills, which he eats readily in his canned food.

Tyke is neutered, chipped, and vaccinated.

About AC PAW

About Our Rescue Group...

AC PAW started as a vision of two people, Brian Manley and June McGrath, to ensure a safe haven for animals from abuse, hunger, disease and death. AC PAW was founded to give the animals in the five-county Grand Traverse Area of Northern Michigan a second chance at life.

We are officially in our 22nd year of volunteer service and work with a handful of dedicated volunteers and a small number of donors. AC PAW began on July 1, 1995 and was officially incorporated on Jan 16, 1996. During this time we have rescued and placed over 10,000 dogs and cats into loving homes.

We are always looking for animal lovers willing to put some time and effort into volunteering or becoming a foster home. Any kind of donations (financial support or pet supplies) are greatly appreciated.
