Facts about Tyke

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black & White Or Tuxedo
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 10827434-Tyke
  • Hair: Short
Born 7/21/14

Tyke was living outdoors and being cared for by a very nice young lady. When she had to move, she called AC PAW to see if we could take him as winter was coming. It took Tyke some time to adjust to being indoors but he is now doing great in his foster home along with his buddies, Boo and Avery. Tyke has some type of food allergy that we have not been able to figure out. He has been on three different types of food and is now on his fourth. There is a chance that we will not be able to figure out the allergy and Tyke will need to remain on a steriod pill every other day. He is doing great on it and takes it very easily. Tyke loves to greet you by the door and say goodbye to you when you are leaving. When it is time for wet food, he will let you know. Tyke is full of energy and very active. He gets along well with other cats, but he has not been around dogs but should do well if introduced slowly. He is in a foster home with a catico which he loves but lots of windows would also be very nice.

About AC PAW

About Our Rescue Group...

AC PAW started as a vision of two people, Brian Manley and June McGrath, to ensure a safe haven for animals from abuse, hunger, disease and death. AC PAW was founded to give the animals in the five-county Grand Traverse Area of Northern Michigan a second chance at life.

We are officially in our 20th year of volunteer service and work with a handful of dedicated volunteers and a small number of donors. AC PAW began on July 1, 1995 and was officially incorporated on Jan 16, 1996. During this time we have rescued and placed nearly 10,000 dogs and cats into loving homes.

We are always looking for animal lovers willing to put some time and effort into volunteering or becoming a foster home. Any kind of donations (financial support or pet supplies) are greatly appreciated.
