Meet Lela! Lela is a 46-pound brindle beauty that was surrendered to the shelter after being found dirty and tied to a pole back in early November. Lela is a pit bull mix and the shelter thinks she is approximately two years old.

One of the sweetest dogs anyone could hope to meet, Lela is now ready to love again, and she makes no bones about it! Lela loves easy walks, playing at the dog park, and quiet nights at home nestled by your side. Lela is housetrained, lives harmoniously with cats, and will `sit` and `go to bed` when asked to do so.

What else should potential adopters know about Lela? Well, perhaps as a result of being abandoned, Lela can get anxious if left alone. But with the help of food puzzles, bully sticks, and a large dog crate where she can feel safe, Lela has been quickly regaining her ability to enjoy time by herself. She would be best in a home where this type of anxiety is understood so that her progress is sure to continue.

Lela is currently in foster care. For more information about Lela, please contact accfosters@NYCACC.org
