Minnie's Story...
Approx DOB: August 2016

Minnie was born in a litter of five kittens. She got her name because she is a miniature of her mom (Minnie, aka Mini Me). Minnie is now looking for a permanent home, preferably with one or more of her litter mates. Since 10 days old, Minnie, her siblings, and Momma have been inside. They started in a crate, progressed to a whole room, and now have access to most of the house several times a day. Minnie and her siblings (Tiny, Pudge, Inka, and Prancer) are well fed, loved, and are having a blast, but it is time for them to find their forever homes. Minnie is very playful, curious, alert and is not afraid of the resident adult cats. Like her litter mates, she will play with almost anything that is available. After a strenuous “workout” including up and down steps at full speed, Minnie sometimes looks for a lap to rest and nap, but seems to prefer sitting on the arm of the chair.

This kitty has had her initial vaccinations, de-worming, flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and been micro-chipped and altered (or will be micro-chipped and altered prior to adoption).

Adoption fee is 1/2 off for the second kitty adopted at same time. Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax).

If you are interested in adopting a kitty(s), we ask that you complete an on-line adoption application to get the process started. To apply, simply go to www.furryfriendsnetwork.com / ADOPT tab / CAT Adoption Application. You will receive a welcome email once your application has been assigned to a volunteer processor (this should be within 72 hours of submitting an application). If you do not receive such an email, contact ffncatapps@gmail.com. Once your application has been processed (this can take approx. 10-14 days), we will arrange contact with the foster to schedule a time to meet kitties you might be interested in. We are an all volunteer organization and appreciate your patience during this process.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Minnie, a Carlisle Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Carlisle, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Carlisle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carlisle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carlisle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carlisle paves the way for another one to be saved.
