Renee's Story...
Renee is a super sweetie who loves everyone. She's great with other dogs and with her wonderful personality she would be great with kids or any age person. She has a tan and white short hair coat and weighs approx. 35 pounds. She seems to be housebroken and keeps her area very clean and tidy. She likes attention, loves to be petted and will follow you around to show you how much she loves you. Her big 1st Birthday is coming up and she dreams of spending it with someone to love. Make your appointment to meet a very special girl.

To see Renee, submit an adoption application at http://hsfc.org/adoptions/applications/online/. Staff will contact you—typically within two business days—for a phone interview and to schedule an appointment to visit the Farm in Centreville where our dogs and horses are kept.

Our dogs and horses are NOT at the HSFC shelter at 4057 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, VA--only our cats, birds, rabbits, and small mammals can be visited there. Come by and see us!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Renee, a Fairfax Basset Hound/Siberian Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Siberian Husky for sale in Fairfax, or seeking a Basset Hound/Siberian Husky dog from a breeder in Fairfax.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairfax already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairfax breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Siberian Husky breeders who help with Basset Hound/Siberian Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairfax paves the way for another one to be saved.
