Charlie's Story...
Hey there, I’m Charlie. I’m a 6 year old, 80 lb German Short Hair Pointer. I’m looking for a new family that I can grow old with. When I was little it was just me and my humans out in the woods, but things changed. They got another dog and I was ok with that, but then they brought home this tiny human. That is where I draw the line. I don’t like those tiny humans. I’m not fond of littles in general; cats, small dogs, anything. I like big dogs, but mostly girls. If there’s another male dog around I make he sure to show them my boundaries. I’m a pretty simple guy. I enjoy naps so I spend some time on my own, but if you want to get me going you can throw my stick. I can play fetch for hours! I prefer that to the leash walking, but I can do that too if you throw my stick a little bit first so I’m calm. I also really like a good snuggle session. I’m a good cuddler if you want to share your bed with me! I do have something called Addison’s disease so I’ll need medicine for the rest of my life, but it’s under control and doesn’t bother me. Right now I only need a short every other month. I have my vet records that come with me so my new Dr. will have my history but it’s been pretty mild so far. They even tested me again just to be sure. I think it would be best for my new family to have a fenced yard for me to run in. My adoption fee is $150. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Vancouver German Shorthaired Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shorthaired Pointer for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a German Shorthaired Pointer dog from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shorthaired Pointer breeders who help with German Shorthaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
