Zelda's Story...
Hi my name is Zelda. I am an Akita mix who is 2 - 3 years old and 70 lbs. I was found as a stray and brought into a rural animal control facility. They recognized me, since I had only been adopted from them in May. I'm a happy-go-lucky girl, so while it was a bummer to be back at animal control, I haven't let it get me down too much! You may notice I have a bit of a deformity to my lower jaw. The vet says it's a birth defect. It doesn't bother me at all, and my volunteer friends say it makes me even more perfect! I get along with other dogs and have been friendly with all of the people I've met so far! I can't wait to get adopted!

If you are interested in adopting me, please apply online at www.orphanannierescue.org.

My adoption fee is $250 and includes my spay, shots, microchipping, and heartworm testing.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zelda, a Atlanta Akita/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Atlanta, or seeking a Akita/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Atlanta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Atlanta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Atlanta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Akita/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Atlanta paves the way for another one to be saved.
