Meet SONY, a 9 month old puppy who escaped death at the NYC shelter. She was surrendered to the shelter by her owner who stated 'personal problems'. Here is what he had to say about his puppy: Sony is a 5 month old black and white female American Pit-Bull Terrier. She was given to owner from a friend and has been in their care for 5 months. She is being surrendered into the center due to personal problems. There are no known health injuries or concerns. Sony is described as being friendly and outgoing. Has lived with children age 12-16 and is relaxed and playful. She is gentle when playing with adults and children. There is no known history of her being around other cats. With other dogs she is exuberant. There is no known history of her biting another animal or person. During storms or firework she isn’t bothered. She isn’t bothered when her food bowl is being touched or when treats or objects are being taken away. You can bath her, brush her coat and trim her nails. She is friendly when unfamiliar people approach you or the home. Sony is described as being friendly with a high activity level. When home she will follow you around or play a good game of fetch, chase or tug with her family. Mostly kept indoors she slept anywhere comfortable and dry food 3 times a day.
